Privacy and Data Collection Policy Update

Overview
In compliance with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines — particularly sections 2.2 (Beta Testing) and 5.1.1 (Privacy: Data Collection & Storage) — we have updated our app experience and policy documentation to ensure transparency and necessity around data collection.
About This App & Membership Requirement
This mobile application is designed specifically for use by active clients of Forward Thinking Fitness. To maintain a secure and personalized user experience, the following requirements apply:
- All users must create an account using accurate personal details.
- Only individuals with an active membership registered through Mindbody, our third-party booking and client management system, will be granted access to the app’s features.
Access to all core functionalities—such as class scheduling, membership management, and fitness tracking—is restricted to verified members. The app is not intended for general public use or trial access.
Anyone interested in joining Forward Thinking Fitness and gaining access to the app is welcome to contact us or visit our official website to sign up.
Guideline 2.2 – Beta Testing
We have removed all instances of incomplete or placeholder features, including the previously visible “Coming Soon” tab in the app's navigation. The app no longer includes any content or functionality that is in beta, unimplemented, or marked for future release. Only fully developed, tested, and functional features are included in the current submission.
Guideline 5.1.1 – Privacy: Data Collection & Storage
We acknowledge Apple’s requirement that apps must only collect personal information that is essential to the core functionality of the app. Based on your feedback, we have reviewed our onboarding flow and made the following adjustments and clarifications:
Collected Information
During account creation, we collect the following data:
• Full Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Address & Postal Code
• Date of Birth
• Gender
• Height & Weight
Why We Collect This Data
We ask for this information to securely create your account with our third-party booking and membership partner, Mindbody, which powers all class reservations, scheduling, and fitness memberships within our app.
The data collected is required by Mindbody to:
• Verify your identity
• Enable booking and participation in fitness classes
• Comply with local regulations and liability requirements
• Provide personalized recommendations or health-related features (where applicable)
This data is securely transmitted to and stored by Mindbody in accordance with their privacy policies and compliance standards.
User Transparency
To ensure user clarity, we have added the following in-app explanation during onboarding:
“We ask for this information to create your account with our booking partner Mindbody, which powers class reservations and memberships. Your information is securely handled and never used for marketing without your consent.”
Data Security and Consent
• All data is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS protocols.
• Data is stored securely in compliance with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Users can request data deletion or update their information at any time via the app settings or by contacting [your support email].
