The weirdest thing humans do

Everyone knows what they should be doing, yet most really don't care to follow through. It's even crazier to watch people actively spend money to shorten their lifespan, and I think this form of self-sabotage is one of the weirdest things we do as humans.

Last time I checked, we are not living in the 15th century burning witches alive. Americans have access to an incredible wealth of scientific resources that's created the most comfortable lifetime for the human species.

Why, then, are so many just straight up ignoring the reality they live in? Why do people disregard facts in favor of whatever disinformation backs up their actions or belief system?

Our incredibly resilient bodies can only withstand so much abuse ... Booze. Added sugar. Cigarettes. Processed foods. Soda. And now? Plastic bottles.

bombshell study revealed just how dangerous consumption is for our health. Researchers found more than 240,000 nanoplastic particles in a liter of bottled water! These invisible plastic bits infiltrate and accumulate through every cell in our bodies.

The bottled tap water people buy shuttles plastic everywhere in the body, and these particles don't magically disappear. This alarming research shows microplastics can lead to:

  • Cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disease
  • Chronic inflammation and immune destabilization
  • Reproductive system and lowered fertility rates
  • Gastrointestinal injury and cancer development
  • Hormone imbalances and metabolism disruption

Turns out life as a Barbie isn't that fantastic. Plastics break down into the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water we consume. This man-made substance is inseparable from corporate production. Sadly, Americans are addicted to convenience and it doesn't seem to be slowing down.

Is it a coincidence that an explosion of convenience stores were added into the area last year?

Is it shocking that rates of colon cancer are skyrocketing and almost half of America is obese?

Corporations follow the money regardless of the consequences to our population and the planet. Lehigh Valley residents are demonstrating where their money goes, and corporations are going to capitalize on that. All the while, these same entities are:

  • Price gouging folks like you and me every day for record profits
  • Killing people and the planet knowingly in favor of record profits
  • Terminating workers with no remorse to maintain record profits
  • Fooling the public with skewed research to grow record profits

We as Americans do have the power to stop this madness. It just requires a collective lifestyle sacrifice. The removal of one cooler fridge from my business won't make a dent in the plans these corporations are making to sacrifice tomorrow's future for today's buck.

I'm hopeful this message challenges you to spread the word and reduces your plastic consumption wherever you can. Not just for your own health, but for the health of your family and the rest of the species on this planet being killed off by greedy corporations.

Making the small sacrifices necessary today will secure a brighter tomorrow for all of us!
