Celebrating Mother's Day

Mother’s day is a time to celebrate all moms, and we've got a lot of them in our wonderful community at Forward Thinking Fitness. I can't think of a better way to recognize our hard working females than with delicious & nutritious food!

I've spent a lot of time creating a cookbook filled with 20 exciting brunch recipes you can try with your family this Sunday! Try surprising mom with a spread of options when she wakes up or make it a family affair by cooking together.

There are so many options to choose from, and I made sure to include everything from vegan recipes, to desserts, and even some fun (non-alcoholic) drink recipes to try out! All of the recipes are under 550 calories per serving and packed with nutrients from whole foods.

While we put this recipe book together for Mother’s Day, of course these recipes can be enjoyed year round. I'm actually planning on using some of these recipes myself for this Sunday!

Personally, I would go with the fiber-packed Blueberry Vanilla Baked Oatmeal. The ingredients are all things you probably already have lying around the house. Plus, It’s super easy to make! All you have to do is mix the ingredients together in a pan and throw it in the oven.

But of course, focusing on that high-protein lifestyle can still be accomplished on the holiday. You can easily add some whey protein powder from our all-natural line: Push The Pace Supplements! Not only will it make the baked oatmeal recipe sweeter, you'll get some much-needed protein for a healthy body composition.

If your tastebuds need something savory with the sweet, you could also go with the Savory Cheddar Cheese Scones on the side! You can use whole wheat flour to add some fiber and even substitute some of the butter for applesauce (I know it sounds weird but it works). Watch your portion size on these - it’ll be hard just have one!

Lastly, I’d wash it all with the refreshing Pomegranate Lime Mimosa Mocktail that is loaded with antioxidants! After enjoying these delicious foods and drinks, be sure to go for a long walk to help aid your digestion.

I hope you try at least one of these recipes! If you have any questions, feel free to reply back to this email. And if you end up making them, do me a favor and post a photo or video to your instagram ... be sure to tag @ftfstrong 😃
